Some good advice from Arkie. Back in the 70s there was a model of General Motors car sold here in the UK that was notorious for poor starting in cold damp weather. Upping the size of the battery to solenoid to starter motor cables plus a decent ground cable from the block to the body increased the cranking rpm by a noticeable amount. Then a decent set of plug leads did the rest.
