Just ordered this Briggs engine to replace the Wisconsin engine that was on a tow-able plaster mixer, (Briggs & Stratton 205cc 900 Series Engine with 6:1 Gear Reduction and 3/4-Inch Diameter x 2-Inch Length Crankshaft 12S452-0549-F8). Since I received the engine, I discovered that the reduction gear is on the wrong side of the engine. It places it too close to the pulley system and also would not fit in the encloser of the mixer. The reduction gear appears to have two outside bolts and two inside bolts so I would have to take the the half apart to get at the inside bolts. Is it possible or advisable to take this off, turn it around so the reduction shaft is closer to the fuel tank instead of the exhaust?
