Trimmer engine rotation direction.

Always ccw looking at flywheel? Replacing flywheel on a ryobi and looking at pull starter I noticed it was ccw. I'm used to the 4 cycle being cw.

depends on which side of the engine the flywheel is on. could be either way (or flywheel could be on upside down or backwards.. or at least seem that way... ) But for the most part I have seen them all running essentially in a CW direction relative to the cylinder porting (generally exhaust on the right, carb on the left, the side you're looking at , engine likely rotates CW.. but if you look at it from the other side, it's CCW)



Bu then again.. that reverses if you go down under.... :bricks: :popcorn: :shock: (like the hurricanes do!)

Just realized also that flywheel end is also the PTO end .lol
