Can anyone help me find rack and pinion parts for a John Deere S68 RER?
I just hit a brick wall...

I don't suppose you have the deere VIN off the rider? I assume you have checked deere's online parts lookup? Ive had a couple of their RER's in the past, but don't think Ive had a S68

That kinda why post the comment as I was getting a combine and large tractors when I googled the S68 and there is no reference to a S68 on JDparts.

It's just a model 68. DA me used brake cleaner on the serial number plate.... :bricks:
The trouble I am having is the pinion gear is welded to the steering shaft and not replaceable by its self.

Not too weird considering all the supersedes I see from JD. The new has both washers welded on sides of the pinion gear shaft now. So Bob needs to know if he can use the older style or not.

Supersedes can drive me crazy at times as I got know when I purchased a part as it may superseded in my price files but still have the old SKU number in the actual parts bin.
