How to time a Honda GXV620

You know it would be nice if Honda actually put a timing mark on the crankshaft gear. I having to replace the connecting rods on a Honda GXV620. I glad I didn't just pull the camshaft before making sure of the timing setup. It my first to go inside a Honda engine so taking everything extra slow.

I reckon I got to order the printed service manual it probably have same info as I have found about aligning the crankshaft punch mark with camshaft mark. At least it dawn on me to make sure just how the timing is done. So I wrote down my own instructions.
