Bent Crank Honda HRX217

Postby lefty » Sun May 22, 2022 3:54 pm

Honda HRX217
MAGA-2344261

Engine:
HRX2174VKA
GJAAA-2978839 MX1

I got this in with a badly bent blade. The owner hit a pipe sticking up out of the ground. I took the blade off and the adapter is junk as well. In addition, the crank is bent. What are my options here, if any? Thank you.

Considering how cheap the 13311-Z8D-900 crankshaft I would just replace the crankshaft once you there is no further damage. Heck it is under $31 plus shipping.

One note that crankshaft got to be made out pretty metal to be only $31.

Thanks. I appreciate it.

I probably have at least a partially sheared flywheel key as well I'm guessing. Not sure if it's an appropriate question but what would be the hours for such a repair?

Thank you.

You should be able to do it in a couple of hours with normal shop tools. Other than removing and reinstalling the bbc it is no more difficult than any other self propelled mower.
