I tried some of the Atom/Megafire modules in chainsaws.
I tried the type that could reverse the polarity.

They were not reliable and most failed.
If I got a run the engine was sometimes out of time. If I got a good run that was in time the module failed after awhile.
Only thing nice is the module could be installed on the points wire outside of the flywheel. (flywheel did not have to be removed to test)

I went back to points and condenser. When all is correct a new set of points and condenser will last several years vs add on electronics is usually rolling the dice and not reliable.

Some people indicate they have had good luck with the Atom modules, but I suspect they bragged too soon.
