Well now I just got all kinds of questions.

First off, I shoulda listed to Bobodu. "If it ain't broke...". Based on what Bluemower posted (from powerportal?) the valves were right.
Now the exhaust is too tight. I set it at .004 last night after work.

Should I set the exhaust back to .006? It is out of spec now. Will that hurt anything over time? Not like it is hard to set back.

I went to the briggs powerportal site. It is for dealers etc etc customers. Hey, I am a customer.

How do I go about requesting a log-in and password?
Do I click on the request help here button, then choose other, and ask for a log in ID?

38racing. Boy do I miss those days.

Any input/comments is/are appreciated.

Good luck getting any response back fro m Briggs. I got unanswered emails going back a couple years now that were sent thru the Power Portal.

The Power Portal is for dealers only and not available to the consumer. I have access as an MST but who knows for how much longer.

well that is disappointing regarding power portal. would it hurt them to allow a casual user? how many people like me would request access? not many anymore i bet.

The generic single cylinder ohv manual specified
intake .003 - .005
exhaust .003 - 005

the owners manual for the 33 had
intake .003 - .005
exhaust .005 - .007 fair enough. updates revisions happen. thanks for pointing me to a good doc.

So yeah. should have just listened to Bobodu.

I learned to listen when I was stationed in Taiwan and trying to pick up " women " in sleazy bars....
