Yes them old fully adjustable Tecumseh carbs and others were nice.
They are few and far between and priced like gold when you see one.

Jumping jerking hunting generator engine is not a good thing, voltage jumping up and down.

And the low emission non adjustable carbs on a Tecumseh engine are really a pain.
Most of the HM100's I fooled with would require about a 30 second warm-up from a cold start before they would settle down little bit.
enriching the low idle jet will calm some of them down to within reason.

I quit fooling around with them Tecumseh's except for myself.
If it's a Regular shaft type Tecumseh and need repairs I just tell them to go buy a $100 HF Predator engine.

if it's running fine maybe just add a bit of seafoam and it will continue to run fine.
