Gonna break my wrist trying to start this!

Continuing brain failure gave me slight kick back. I'm making a tow behind unit with push mower engines. I wire kill via relays controlled on tow unit. Thought I test start engines just powering relays with booster pack. Couldn't get one started . bit of kick back. Then noticed blade barely moving. At first I'm thinking recoil start issue. Then I remember that I had put standard blade on for measuring but was going to replace with mulching so wasn't tight. Hoping the never really starting means I did shear the flywheel key.
