I was born in 1948 and just starting fixing stuff for myself and then expanded to friends and neighbours. Saturday a guy showed up with a trimmer because my neighbour (one I've never actually done anything for ) sent him. I was going to say no but it was an old trimmer only running on choke but had adjustment screws. So adjusting the carb seemed to solve it for now. Ten minute fix but then we chatted for an hour.

My shop seems to be the local stop by center. Lot of people coming by checking on me. Some I like, some I don't. I got a chain on all my doors with a sign that says do not enter. They just step over that. Might as well remove them before somebody trips.

Just change the sign to "Enter at your own risk." Here trespassers risk getting eaten or at least their head bitten off when I having one of my bad headaches days.

Speaking of shopping for parts on-line.

Noticed several places that are indicating it MIGHT BE 11/2022 before parts are in stock. :o

Need to read carefully beofe ordering because several vendors are not listing this notice in large print.

and prices of stuff going up so fast most likely back orders would get cancelled due to price changes. (prices not locked in until 11/2022 if ordered)

So far I haven't had any problems getting parts but of course I also still have parts from last year on hand which helps. If my distributors don't have the parts then I shop for a vendor that has the parts I needing in stock.

Some the online parts delays are BS. It might also be that I just got good at procurement and have a decent cross reference setup as I ad to it daily as I cross parts.

Currently I am rebuilding a couple Gravely mower decks. Same model different serial breaks. I just found that they changed spindle bearings so six of the bearings I ordered will have to be reordered to get the correct bearings. It might also be that aftermarket spindles were installed. Two spindles of one unit had 2mm of play in the spindle assemblies. Now they have about a .25mm of play. Those bearing were fine just a lot end play to get rid of.

Like you I would rather find what I need and get on with it. I was just looking at my PD backorders and it's just three items. 1 due in Oct, 1 in Nov and 1 TBD. One was a common starter 593934. I think I'm out of used ones from grenaded engines. Might have to get a fishbrand one just in case.

So far DB electrical starters are holding up here.

Not a bad idea KE4AV8
I was going to order the clutch you mentioned earlier here.
Wondering how you came up with that part number ? I can't seem to find it on Hustlers site. I just wanted to make sure before I clicked THANKS

Maybe I using a different Hustler site. I just went and double checked the Hustler IPL for the model you posted and it is the 605777. Which when I lookup the 605777 on the XtremeOPE website gives me the X0921 and the cross to the Warner 5219-193 clutch.
