Those were popular for a few years which was too long, call "Impulse starter".

I think we're good, Walt. Glad we could get that little miscommunication cleared up.

Update: my grandmother has now been able to get the mower started. She just wasn't priming the carburetor correctly (newer, stiffer primer bulb).
