I get 10 points in the 'did something stupid' contest'

I put the deck back on the white GT that I replaced the tecumseh vtwin for the friend . When I pulled on the electric pto there was a bang down under. I used C clamps on the deck edge to hold the blades when tightening them on. Other than a nick in a freshly sharpened blade it seems to be ok.

if that's worth 10 points, mine was worth a thousand - rebuilding a Kohler K341 a long time back - forgot to put the governor gear into it - assembled everything right up - all proud of myself for beating my previous record time (Under an hour from bare block to bolt-in to the tractor) , have everything all put back together, hood, sheet metal, etc - close hood, start 'er up to drive it out and.. Hmmm seems like it may be running a bit too fast....

so a 3.8 hour job turns into a 9.2 hour job. and only get paid 4

I did something very similar, buttoned up the K341, cleaned up the bench and there was the new governor gear I was supposed to install.
