Another issue with my John Deere 68

I have another issue with my John Deere 68. When going over a bumpy patch of my yard it cuts out like the choke has been closed then recovers with a huge puff of black smoke after a few seconds. I'm thinking it might be the float bouncing around, but I would a second opinion. Thanks
