Grasshopper 725d came in because clutch not working. He is what we tried so far. First checked if we 12 volts to clutch and we didn't. 2nd we checked all fuses good and replaced just to verify and replaced pto switch it was broke. 3rd all relays replaced. 4th safety switches thur continuity good. We did power up clutch good. Also during the volt test we only had 5 when started we got 6 and no more. We also checked wires continuity. Out of ideas to try. Any thoughts or ideas to try. Any help and advice would be great. Thanks for any help ideas and thoughts.

I only found 2 under the key and under the seat behind parking brake. Good chance that I might have missed some. Will recheck in the am. I don't have a wiring dia. On hand but will look and see if I can find one which will be handy. Thanks bg

Sounds like you have a high resistance point in the wiring (bad connection) that causing a huge voltage drop under load. Do voltage drop tests at different along the PTO wiring path until you pickup the 12 volts. I have had several bad connectors over the last yew years that ohmed good but failed under load. I even one where the terminal wasn't making good contact to wire; one strand contacting and the others where broken.

Here's a place that some online wiring diagrams for the 725d >> http://www.the-mower-shop-inc.com/fmt-721d.aspx
They not very good layout wise.

Check for good ground if done through the frame.
