Hi Jim

Glad you were able to find the problem. Always start with the simple things first, that's where you'll find most problems. When siphoning fuel, use a clear hose that's long enough to loop down to the ground and back up to well above the fuel level. That way you can see where the fuel is in the hose and you can pull your mouth away from the hose when the fuel hits the bottom of the loop. The fuel will then settle in the hose at the same level as the fuel in the tank. Once it's there, point the end of the hose into a clean container and the fuel will start to flow. The hose I use is an 8 foot length of ½" OD clear PVC.

My wife and I were just in Yuma, Arizona for the first week and a half of November, as you say, no flies or bees in that part of the country. Sure am looking forward to when we can go back there again, may not be for a few years, but still looking forward none the less. All the best,
