Honda HHH25

Hi guys just had a honda HHH25 hedge trimmer come in covered in oil started it up and smoking like mad when warm on tickover but clears when revved cleaned air filter, checked compression 100psi checked breather was clear which it is the customer will not spend a lot of money on this so don't want to spend to much time on it i was thinking rings at first but not as shore now what do you guys think?

overfilled with oil? stored upside down? (or sideways) sounds like your smoke is coming from oil residue sitting in the muffler - it clears when revved because the exhaust gasses are passing through so much faster and no time for mixing with the oil.

I ran it for over a hour still smoking checked oil level and did a oil change on it a about 2 months ago it is as if it is sucking oil in from somewhere.

Bill, Can post a link to the IPL that your looking at on your end?

Most of the parts should be same between the HHH 25S and the HHH 25D when it comes to GX25 engine. If so then valve stem seal would be 12209-Z0H-003.
