Which size is the Molex pins on the Briggs engine; .062 or .093?

Briggs RePower kit has 3 sizes: .062", .140" and .200"

Drats, I should have know nothing I try to do ahead of time ever works. I mic them the next time a rider with a Briggs comes in.

I reckon I going to need to wait before ordering the male and female pins. I will need to order them from Mouser instead MCM as they don't list the two larger sizes. I still to either find some pin removal tools or make my own.

I did manage to to find a reasonable source on the 8ga lugs I was needing for those MTD cables; all I had on hand was for the 6ga cables I making. I still don't know why they thought 8ga aluminum cables was durable.

Actually on second thought - I didnt think the sizes sounded quite right so I took caliper to the kit

Briggs has .062" female socket part number 5100272 no male pin .. The ones labeled as .200 are actually 2.0 MM! but measure to .080" pin male pin is 212217 and 5023172 (different pin shapes) and female socket that both those pins will fit is 21219 or just get yourself a 19615 Repower kit and you'll see..

Found a copy the 19615 Repower kit image. That .200 is the center line spacing of the terminals. From the 14-20 ga specs I found that I need the .093 pins and sockets ( .80 pins or sockets not listed in the round version). I ordering 100 of each for stock and be ordering a .093 removal tool from Rat Shack. I am running out them to rob from old harnesses. I had go hunting at another shop for the last ones I needed last week.

I know that sounds like a lot but I didn't think I would go through 30 cable lugs either in a year but I did once I had them.

Molex is just a brand name but evidently very well known as it is commonly used in tech circles to talk about those "fine" little connectors with tiny pins (usually round, GM calls them Micro-Pak or Metri-Pak which are more commonly a "flat" spade ranging in sizes from 1/32" width to 1/8" width - The briggs versions are usually those round pin and connectors such as found on carb solenoid connectors, charging system harness connectors and the like

And my needs were the following .093 ones (20 awg - 14 awg) .084 ones (18 awg -14 awg) except I needing the 2 x 3 housings or at least those are the ones in the Toro frame to engine harness connector I just disassemble. Btw these takes an open barrel crimper to crimp them properly just like type 56 (Packard) connector used in the ignition switch connector housing and the interlocks connector housings.

As BGS said the .062 size (24 awg - 18 awg ) would be for the fuel solenoid and the .140 would be those connectors that use the 14 - 10 awg wires. Most times these are two terminal only versions that need higher amperage capacity.
