Cub Cadet with electric fuel injection.

Postby wristpin » Sun May 06, 2018 7:05 am

There's a new product review in a UK trade magazine for the Cub Cadet XT2 PR1061E. , but with no mention of the engine manufacturer - who is it?
Interesting that the article uses the word electric as opposed to the more usual electronic - any significance there?
Amongst the claims made for the engine are easier starting after periods of no use, 25% reduction in fuel consumption and a 5-10% increase in power and torque compared to a carburettor equipped engine.

The spec sheet says Cub Cadet engine so very likely a Chinese Powermore. Quality is suspect at best.

I would think so too. Myself I haven't had real issues with the Powermore or Toro Chondas Etc. Anyone else? It seems like more filters to stock and component parts availability rather than some individual parts. IE starters and carbs. I've not seen an EFI though on MTD.
