Should be; unless, someone knows different.

Red = Afterfire Solenoid
Yellow = Magneto
Blue = Alternator AC output (lights)
Red/White = Alternator DC output (battery charge)

The best to figure this out is to just hook up the anti fire solenoid and a kill wire for the coil then use a Voltmeter on the other two wires one will have an AC output and the other DC output. As far as I know the Courage only use a common magneto and not digital coil.

If only every manufacture would use the same color coding system it sure would be nice.

I know the blue is ac....so that leaves white for dc charge....but how do I hook it up? I have forgotten as much as I have learned over the years.

Normally DC goes to the battery side of the starter solenoid.

Cool....thanks.The first thing I found wrong was the black wire going to the positive side of the battery....

might have fried your coil- white may be magneto ground in some engines. were it me,I;d pop the engine cover off and trace wires to where they come from - locate fuel solenoid , engine ground (can also be green) and see what wires coming out from under flywheel which one would assume are alternator output , and just jumper 12v to fuel solenoid, have engine kill wire hanging free (so as to shut off) and then get er running, and see what comes out of the alternator wiring

Getting nine volts from the white,,,nine volts from the yellow and nothing from the blue...also...nothing kills the engine except the afterfire solenoid.
