oil filter kohler sv590-0220

if I enter this to partstree the picture shows 2 oil filters. One is labelled 1205001-s. The other (appears longer) has 2 labels, 5205002-s and 2505025-s, but in the listing section it says only the 1205001-s . I have the kohler owner's manual for SV590 series and it just lists the 5205002-s. does it really matter which one I use as long as it's length fits the space?

It's just that short filter is what was shipped with the engines. The longer filters are usually just hi-capacity filter. If space permits it shouldn't be a problem with the longer filter.
