Cleaning pick up tubes on Pulsa Jet

Postby dennis » Thu Jul 12, 2018 12:52 pm

Workiing on B & S mod 130202, type 0135-01, code 6902xxxx, with a B & S 299437 carburetor. My question is...is there a check valve in either of the pick-up tubes? Concerned about direction of blowing compressed air when cleaning.

single pickup tube, they'll have a check ball.(Which will be a vacu-jet) 2 pickup tubes (pulsa-jet) , not so much since there'll be the secondary fuel well (the shorter pickup tube)
How poor are they who have not patience. What wound did ever heal, but by degrees? - Iago (Othello Act II, Scene 3)

Dennis,
No check valves in either of the tubes on that carb. Be VERY careful if you are blowing compressed air! Too high a pressure or volume and you will rip the tiny filter screens off the end of the tubes. Want to take a wild guess how I know?
