another briggs manual error I assume

looking at section 12 spec of 276781 manual for OHV singles
for 280000 vertical
cylinder cover main bearing standard=1.3795 reject = 1.383
crankshaft pto journal standard=1.3775 reject = 1.376
for 310000 vertical
cylinder cover main bearing standard=1.063 reject = 1.065 *******
crankshaft pto journal standard=1.3775 reject = 1.376

******* going to be darn hard to get that cover on the 31.
Guess what the cover spec is for a 120000 series.

So I just go out and check the 31 and both cover and PTO are in the 1.6nn range.

You need a bigger hammer.

So briggs also cant get ipls right either. Downloaded 31g777-0192 because I couldn't see where the cylinder shield might hook into blower cover. Cover is 304 and uses flat panel filter 445. Service for blower is 304b using a 445b canister filter. So nowhere in the ipl does it show part number for 445b. Also noticed that picture of the 10/16 alternator shows single lead out but it's regulator input is 2 leads and actual alternator was 2 leads out. This ipl was just downloaded recently to my phone. I'm going to check an older one on my desktop. Meanwhile the shield will just hang there only bolted to bottom of cylinder.

So I checked IPL that I downloaded in 2013. Much different. Because it's older it shows a part number for older style blower cover rather than saying service with another. Number for 445b filter is shown. Also the recent IPL showed 3 mufflers but no part number. Old ipl has the part numbers.

I ran into an issue helping a poster with a flywheel. The Power Portal indicates model 121S17-0127 is equipped with the cast iron flywheel which he needs but the IPL tells me it is the lightweight zinc. It's not the first time I have seen these problems.

I wonder if some sabotage or hack is going here. As there way too errors lately even on older engines' ipls. On the engine question the IPL supposedly was just updated 09/22/2018. And ARINET ipl is even worst.

the newer ipls are organized different it seems. Part numbers are right after the section rather than all at the end. If there is more than a page of numbers they now repeat the picture. I notice partstree ipl for this engine has the stuff missing too.
