Yes I have found some of those as well spins and puts grooves in the shaft causing over speed failure. But 2 of them I could control the speed by holding the shaft or zip tieing it to a fixed speed and one of them I couldn't because it destroyed the governor itself. All three resulted in new engines because of the same thing as yours.

Luffy since you personally seen three of these are just slipping out or are they damaging the mounting hole at the same? I kinda thinking that governor assy is binding on the governor stud and they are torquing out the stud.

Anyway without replace stud it is kinda of a mute point. Just curious as what damages are to the crankcase.
