Briggs & Stratton High Altitude Jets

Postby Skywatcher » Mon Mar 18, 2019 12:14 am

Greetings All

Here's a question for the B&S Master Techs. What is the elevation threshold above sea level that B&S say to go to the high altitude jets?

Model - 543477
Spec - 0065-E1
Code - 05051112

Working elevation = 3,450 feet above sea level.

Thanks and all the best,

Sky

When the engine is operated at high altitude more than 3000 ft above sea level, you should install high altitude compensating jet. Operation of the engine at altitudes below 2,500 feet (762 meters) with the high altitude jet is not recommended. Fuel recommendations are also reference in the following articles.
