8HP Intek id , help required

Postby wristpin » Wed Jun 12, 2019 10:55 am

I've been sorting out a dirty fuel issue on an 8HP horizontal crank Intek on a National triple reel mower (Nikki carb) May have been re-engined.
Unable to find a Model.Type and code plate anywhere , just the remains of one of those "engine family stickers". While I didn't need the MTC numbers for this job it would be useful to have at least the Model for future use.
Thanks!

Would there be a serial number sticker on the engine? Looks like a date code except longer. Also this model info might engraved on the crankcase.

Thanks for that. Machine was in a somewhat ill lit shed but I did have a look around the lump with a flash light. I will contact the owner and arrange to get it out into daylight and have another look.
