So I got this blower in a couple of days ago. Craftsman 358.797310
Doesn't run and hasn't for some time so I diagnosed it as a fuel problem, which makes sense once I got her apart. The metering diaphragm is junk, the screen was all filled with crud. The fuel filter was knocking around in the tank all by its onesies and the fuel lines crumbled in my hands. My question is, after looking up parts, is it even worth fixing? Cheapest carb kit I could find was $22 bucks and I couldn't find any numbers for fuel lines, filter, etc. Cheapest new carb is $40. Given the parts alone and the fact that what appears to be a comparable machine can be had for $100, is it even worth getting into this one? Once parts and labor come into play, I can't imagine it would make much sense.
Thanks
