Looking for carburetor...

Looking for a carb for a Coleman generator...the carb part number is 496863. They say this carb is discontinued, is there another one that would probably work? Thank you.

Hi Dart

BMP Motor Parts on eBay say they have 7 of the replacement carburetors in stock (eBay item # 264578042979) See if this helps,

That eBay carb is an aftermarket part. Personally, I have had fairly good luck with aftermarket (China-made) carbs I have purchased for some old Tecumseh L-heads (HS30, HS35, and HS40). The engines we restore are 40-50+ years old and many times aftermarket carbs are the only option. Please report back and let us know how this carb works out...
