Converting to Electric Start

Postby dennis » Sat Mar 28, 2020 9:10 pm

I have the following B&S 10.5HP Intek on my wood splitter..Mod 215802, Type 0114-E1, Code 050726ZA. It has a pull start. The flywheel that is on it does not have a ring gear. It is part# 698283. The black blower housing on it is part# 698473. The housing has a round flare on the side for an electric starter. The electric starter types for this model use a red housing part# 699085, flywheel # 698281, and electric starter part# 693551. My question is would the flywheel (698281) fit on my engine, and if so, would the black blower housing (698473) be compatible with flywheel (698281)? Would the electric starter (693551) also be compatible? If not, would the red starter housing (699085) be compatible with my engine? I hope this is not too confusing.
