Craftsman Vacuum / Chipper

Postby lefty » Wed May 20, 2020 1:23 pm

Model: 247.770330
Serial: 11225k10392

I'm replacing the nozzle door on this one. Part number: 731-2294A. I removed the whole plastic housing to make it easier to work on. It looks like there are just a couple of little friction caps at the end of the hinge rod that need to be popped off to remove the hinge rod. But as usual, it involves force and I just want to make sure I'm on the right track. Wondering too if they're multi-use or should I have picked up a couple of those as well. However, I think I only need to remove one to slide the rod out the other end. Has anyone ever replaced one of these? The nozzle door lever broke off (731-04967) and took the part of the door with it. So I have to replace the whole door. Any tips would be appreciated.
