FX-850V Thottle Issue

I can push the throttle knob forward 90% of full throttle and couple of seconds later it drop to almost idle. You can watch the throttle knob move backwards..Spring, Gov issue?

throttle control lever worn out. need new throttle cable assembly. See it all the time on certain engines & equipment. throttle control is made with a friction washer, but over time the rivet that hinges things together wears out and the friction washer no longer provides needed friction to keep things in place

Got a cable today and installed it, not sure if the problem is fixed or not. If I pulled the mower out of the shop it would bury in yard..week of rain and lots of it

We are getting rain these days in Ontario Canada but we had long dry spell. My brown turned back to green but for some reason a few properties are still brown

Finally got dry enough to test it out, still does it. I guess next step will be replace throttle cable and handle/knob
