This drive works fine but the right wheel will not spin backwards independently. In other words, if the machine is off, or on for that matter, and you back up and try to move your body to the right, everything is fine. But if you try to go left, the right wheel drags. I'm guessing there's some sort of ratcheting mechanism in the right wheel that has failed?

There is a sprag clutch on the drive pinion, it is likely clogged with grass and/or dirt. Remove the wheel and thoroughly clean the pinion and shaft, a dry graphite lubricant may also help.

That did the trick. Thank you. I removed the wheels, cleaned the parts with Brake Kleen, and hit the parts with some powdered graphite. Everything works perfectly. Thanks again.
