Mobility Scooter

Postby lefty » Sat Nov 04, 2023 11:54 am

I know this is off-topic most likely but I thought it couldn't hurt to try.

An elderly neighbor of mine asked that I take a look at this gear fluid leak he has in his electric mobility scooter. On the off chance someone might have some experience with these, I thought I'd post. Looks like it's coming from this bearing.

I see what appears to be a bearing held in by a snap ring. No seal that I notice. Has anyone ever disassembled one of these? I'm wondering if there's a seal behind the bearing. I can't find any numbers or branding on the machine itself. Struggling to find anything on the internet regarding the problem. I think this is just a Chinese knockoff.

Probably a long shot but thank you for reading.

Lefty as usual we got to the equipment info to even try to find the info. But it sounds like there might be a seal behind the bearing like on some the ATVs I have repaired.
The truest measure of society is the how it treats its elderly, its pets, and its prisoners.

I wish I had one to give. There are no markings on this. But the info is helpful. Thanks.
