Briggs plastic carb.

Postby wristpin » Thu Dec 28, 2023 12:09 pm

Simple enough but already one of the YouTubers seems to ignore that the removable “fuel module” takes apart to reveal its “emulsion tube” while another says “ un serviceable” just chuck it away and fit another . So, is there an official BS publication that covers it ?
Meanwhile, New Year greetings to all on this forum from Angus in the UK.

Are you referring to these? If so there are two different styles with upgrades from the original per the date code in the bulletin. They changed the module idle jet location due to gumming.

The bulletin is DBS-1060. available in the downloads under Briggs Service Info > Advance Product Info directory

You mean this kind right? That emulsion tube will come out if you push it from the venturi side.
You just have to remove the butterfly and throttle shaft to get to it.
Push it downwards with flat blade screwdriver.

See your PM...I don't openly publish the links to the restricted files. But all the Briggs files I have are linked in the Downloads section of this forum.
