Gentlemen the Husqvarna NZTR pivots are repairable. They have replaceable bushings. Like most of us I have been just replacing the these but lately I ran into trouble as they are staying on extended b/o everytime I order them from my distributor. So I decided just to try installing bronze bushings. Well this when I found they already had bushings installed. So much easier to install the correct bushings.

Well It took me a month to get in the correct bushings from a supplier but they do fit as well as the original bushings. The original bushings are TSI10PT16Z and I am using 10TH16 bushings. Replacement cost nearly a third of the RH pivot and even less on the LH pivot as it is twice the cost. Now I'm referring to my cost of S4.28 including shipping for the bushings which I change the customer 6.58 each (13.16/ pr) which a lot less than the $46 retail for both pivots.

Good info. Are you finding them worn much to where they affect the toe?

The question should be what doesn't affect the toe.

Yes they wear enough along with the screws as no one ever greases them. They get floppy which allow extra movement. Those two short drag links affects the toe the most. By changing their lengths by only a 1/16 can change the toe over an inch. And since the short drag links are attached to the pivots any loosen in these are just as bad. Plus don't forget the shim washers.

Ordering all new parts thinking it going to fix toe out problem won't work either. I have done this when learning how to get toe out problem resolved. It does take replacing worn parts but short drag links are the main culprit which I have to bend using a press to shorten both them by the same amount and multiple fit ups checking the toe. Note you cant eyeball it from the operator position either as there is illusion of being straight when they are not.

But worn pivots usually is what causes the changing of the toe from being out going forward to toe in moving backwards as they flop around.

As the overall toe use a tape or measuring stick and both from and back of the wheels to get to zero toe; otherwise, you will have tire wear and hard steering.

Btw I do keep most the steering parts in stock as Husqvarna distributor just can't keep them in stock. It been two month this time as they still don't have the LH pivot in stock. Re bushing the pivots solves this problem.
