the problem with the ford solenoids is the terminal marked I is a resistor by-pass switch to put full 12 volts to coil for hotter spark on starting.If used on a mower it is to be ignored (I = ignition, S=start)when solenoid pulls in ( I )has full 12 volts to it

How about this, call Champion generators at 1-877-338-0999 and order the CORRECT part which is:

Part Number: 23.125200.01

Item: Relay, Starter (Remote Control)

Item 16 on the electrical IPL

The starter will only draw the amperage it needs no matter what the battery has to offer. If the starter draws too much current because it is available then the starter has issues .
