Any body have any ideas on type of snake? I would show the head but he lost it during the battle. :oops:

Looks to be Copperhead. Better find the head and get rid of it in a safe place. Poisonous. Looks to have molted recently.

The pattern is the same but the color depth is slight different. Your pic is as close as I have seen with my searching.

We had a hard rain with lots of running water that may have flushed him out into the open.

The head is highly distorted with with a claw hammer. I took no chances and I treated him like he was poison.

Okie upon further searching it looks like the Broad banded Copperhead ie Texas Copperhead and considering you're in that neck of the woods it probably is.

All I know for sure is: Its a dead Oklahoma flat head (very flat) :D

You should have used an axe and cut it into a thousand pieces. :twisted:

I think this rattle Snake was 7.5 feet long.
