Yeah - wide tires can look "cool" to a Redneck, and great for mud runs, but they suck for driving on snow and ice.

I'm like Bobodu- I'd as soon have standard sized narrower width tires on my truck for winter driving.

Found two 255's with good tread for $50, so I got my tires. Just had a guy offer me a 30/30 Marlin for just the rubber.
I happen to know a guy in the same town who had one stolen....Think I'll pack the 9mm and the .380 and go make the deal.

Made the trade...1945 Model 36 Regular Carbine w/ 2 3/4 X Redfield scope and case.
