Tools sets

Postby mulch » Mon Apr 04, 2016 11:47 am

I am curretnly teaching a small engine class at the high school. The current tools sets that the students use, one per pair, is slowly missing tools and the cases are in rough shape

I am looking at getting new shop sets. Tell me what you think.

Which set would you buy?

One more thing is that more, in a high school, isnt alwasy better. It is more for the student to keep track of.

Depends on if you need any of the deep sockets , otherwise I agree go with the 85 piece

Me, I'd say buy 3 200+ piece sets from harbor freight and then you would have spares to "re-fill" the lost items.. it really rather depends on just how much tooling you really need for the class though..

a simple basic class for your basic maintenance needs, the 85 piece set probably would do

I actually have two larger sets (shop sets) with deep well that they are able to use so I think that I am going to go with the 85. Less for them to deal with.
