Ratchets

Any tried the opened end ratchet wrenches. Do they hold up or do they slip. Like to hear before I buy on how they work.

depends on the quality and torque - I have a set from Snap-On and they don't slip, but I don't use them when I need a lot of torque (really tight bolts) Even though they feel as if they would handle it with no problem - break your bolts or nuts loose first and they work beautifully.
How poor are they who have not patience. What wound did ever heal, but by degrees? - Iago (Othello Act II, Scene 3)

What I was thinking as well seem handy. Thanks for the input.
