Super Capacitor

Postby lefty » Tue Nov 03, 2020 3:32 pm

I picked one of these devices up to keep in the car. From what I understand, it's a bank of capacitors that can be used to jump-start a car if the battery is weak by charging off the remaining power and then releasing it at 12 volts for starting.

Is this something that could be used on a tractor battery or is that a bad idea?

It's probably a moot point since I have a charger and it's not like I'm going to get stranded on I95 riding my John Deere, but I'm curious none-the-less.

I have similar thing called genius. My experience with it has been iffy. Sometimes it works. Other times not.
