Torque Wrench

Postby plpitts1 » Tue May 13, 2014 6:11 pm

Hello,
What Torque Wrenches are you all using for things like connecting rod bolts? Requires 9 lb-ft. I do not see anything that goes that low.
Thanks, Pat

1/4 drive Inch/Pound version when using 13MM or less 1/4 drive sockets. My goes to 200 in/lbs (16.67 ft/lbs)

Set at 108 for 9 ft/lbs (9*12).

Yes - like KE4 said - sometimes you have to use an inch-pounds torque wrench and do a little math to convert

9 Ft Lbs x 12 (12 inches in a foot) = 108 Inch-Pounds Likewise if you got an inch pounds spec and only have foot pounds torque wrench , 200 inch pounds divided by 12 = 16.66 , or round up to 17 Ft. Lbs

Wright used to be an excellent brand, and as far as I know , still is (the made in USA versions) so I would imagine it would be a good quality buy.
