Neither- Businesses for plural form of Business

Edit: Unless of course you want to refer to the possessive plural (the business' core businesses) - note the apostrophe after the double s indicative of possessiveness .. gotta love English, eh?

I almost never got a whipping at home. My Dad had this thing....if you get a whipping at school, you will get another at home which made me not run home and whine about how unjust the teacher were.
If you did get a whipping from Dad, when it was over you went to the outhouse and checked to see what all was bleeding.

You notice I use the word whipping, not spanked.

The joy of growing up at our household. I flew the coop as soon as I was able. ;)
