For Bryan.Brian,etc.

I tried to get on early this morning and unable to do so. It gave a code 509 (not enough band width). Shortly after that, I was able to log on--no problem.
It may have something to do with all the pictures I have been posting as they are gif files requiring more ban width. If so, please feel free to deleate the thread.

Okie, It was just traffic then the server is setup to allow for our site. I have been seeing a higher than normal number of visitors the last few days.

Yeah - Had that happen once before and I un-blocked the site and raised the bandwidth limit - So did it again this morning (Site hit 2 GB Bandwidth and no your remote hosted images do not affect that) - The bandwidth is counted just based on what is sent from server - which is why we have the restrictions on ability to download , and do not allow uploads of images. - If we had downloads section wide open, then the search engine robots and "site scrapers" would gain access to the downloads section and download the same documents over and over and over - bandwidth usage would go through the roof. :)

Could be something to do with the "plug" we got from Mr Mowerman in the PET magazine this month.. :) Its all good. I could set it to allow unlimited bandwidth but did not want to do that.. I just raise the limits a bit more as the site grows.

No - they are not affecting bandwidth - they're remotely hosted and "hot linked" so we don't carry that bandwidth, its no problem. (that is also why I set things up so the avatars and etc all have to be hosted off-site)

I have noticed that also. Here I was thinking it was the beautiful pictures I was posting. That is what ego will do to your thinking.
Just thinking out loud here. I could stop posting pics and see if traffic slows. It appears only Tuffnell and I appreciate them.
