Well I don't remember the 50's other than re-runs but was I was among some of the last products produced. Born in June '59 . I probably was just discovering I had toes.

I think my warranty might have expired......Just can't find those dang warranty papers anywhere to check.

Although I wasn't born until the early 1960's, I had to chuckle at the Underwood 3 bank double lift carriage shift portable typewriter, I think you'll find that is actually a 1920's model. By the 1950's, all portable typewriters were 4 bank and most were basket shift. When I'm not working in the shop or in the yard, you'll probably find me working on or with a vintage typewriter. Being mechanical, I find them truly fascinating and love the feel of using them to type letters to friends and family. All the best,

I would not be too concerned with your warranty papers.

Instead, I would worry more about the expiration date on you birth certificate.
