Starting Honda Engine

Postby dennis » Mon Mar 13, 2017 11:21 am

This is a general question. I am working on a 3" trash pump powered by a Honda GX 240. The pump is off of the engine, and I would like to know if it is ok to pull start the engine without anything attached to PTO end. Wondering about kick-back.

No problem. The engine has the cast flywheel, it is not like a mower with an aluminum one that needs the additional inertia provided by a blade.
