I have a 3225 Cub Cadet tractor in the shop (14A-688-100) with a bad transmission leak (trans. model 618-3194). After cleaning the gunk and debris from around the transmission, the culprit seems to be the gasket behind the rear cover (ref. #45 on IPL, part number 721-0467). This particular model is made after the serial number break indicated on the IPL, so it has one gasket instead of two.
But I've never been into one of these transmissions before, and I wondered what else I may need. I see in the parts list that there's a 2oz. tube of sealant (part number 759-3746). Does anyone have access to a service manual for this unit so I know exactly where the sealant goes? I'd like to know what I'm getting into here before I tear it apart.
Thanks for any info!
