As I mentioned previously, I use an anvil type lug crimper like this one to crimp the terminal lugs, cheap and works great :http://www.ebay.com/itm/Cable-Hammer-Crimper-Tool-Battery-Welding-Wire-Terminal-Lug-Connector-8-4-0-AWG-/132074169267?hash=item1ec03be3b3:g:3zkAAOSwjDZYhre8
Another handy tool is a mini tubing cutter like this :http://www.ebay.com/itm/Mini-Tubing-Cutter-Copper-Pipe-Cutting-1-8-5-8-OD-Rigid-Plumbing-HVAC-NEW-/231098513310?hash=item35ce8b779e:g:t88AAOSwK7FWh4ov
What do you use that for you might ask?
I use it to strip the cable insulation off. Does a neat and clean job. A few rotations and bingo, a clean insulation cut. Obviously, you don't want to crank down too hard, it takes a bit of practice to get the right "feel"/ depth.
#4, 6, 8 terminals are readily avail on fleabay also. as well as flexible marine grade cable.
IDK how to post my pics, so links will have to do.
