John Deere 445 fuel leak

Postby Mr Mower Man » Fri Apr 14, 2017 9:42 am

I was finishing up a John Deere 445 in the shop, and suddenly the fuel injector nozzle sprung a leak. I assumed a failed o-ring (part number M122644). No John Deere dealer around has one in stock, and I need this o-ring ASAP, as in TODAY. I removed the nozzle to inspect the o-ring, and it looked OK. So I lubed it, and put it back in the throttle body, and it's not leaking at all now. But I'm afraid to trust it. This is a long shot, but does anyone know offhand of a different OEM o-ring that matches the specs of this o-ring?

That appears to be the larger of the two o-rings on that FD620D. If so then it is Kawasaki PN is 92055-2178.

Well, a big, fat DUH! It never occurred to me that this is a Kawasaki engine. What is it you say in your signature? "Of all things I have lost: I miss my mind the most." I know EXACTLY what you mean, KE4AVB. What a dipstick! Now I gotta see if someone around here has one of these today. Wish me luck!

You were just blinded by all that Green and Gold paint and plastic.

I would have gave the dimensions but I couldn't find any published for either part number though I do know it is going be metric sized one. Good Luck on finding it.

Thankfully, I was able to resolve the situation. I couldn't find anyone with the Kawasaki part number, but I was able to find a good match in a fuel grade o-ring kit at Napa. :D
