the last problem was the two front pulleys the pulley the bearing was shot replaced that ok now . the next thing to go is the charging system ( a lesson learned people get rid of planned obsolencent items , buy, newer technology and dont"go buy because of price point") i have this cub cadet 2135 the amp indicator is always on .the battery was reading 50% charge , i charged it up 100% and light still comes on . what is the fix for this? thanks gordy.

Hi Gordy

First off, we'll need a little more information about the machine itself, specifically the engine. What is the make, model, spec/type and serial number of the engine? Is this machine fitted with an electric PTO clutch for the mower deck or a manual engagement lever? this will determine what sort of amperage the charging system produces. Does this system have an engine mounted voltage regulator or remote mounted (like under the dash board). Also, have you run an actual voltage check on the battery, both with the engine off and engine running at different speeds? Let us know, and we'll see how we can help. All the best,

Sky

Should be a Kohler CH13 either spec 22508 or 22531 with on board voltage regulator. And it has a electric PTO.

If Kohler, you can probably find a service manual for it here; https://power.kohler.com/na-en/engines/manuals
Should give you the lowdown on all the engine electricals .

You first need to determine if the charging system is putting out. See the shop man.
